In a conventional coil, air flows in a single pass around or through the heating element before travelling up to the drip tip. U-Tech changes this completely — the airflow passes twice around the coil in a U-shaped routing before reaching the mouthpiece. By doubling the amount of time the vapour spends in contact with the heated coil surface, U-Tech dramatically increases the amount of flavour the vapour absorbs during each draw. Made from food-grade 316L stainless steel throughout, the 0.6Ω delivers a warm, flavour-rich draw at 18–23W that produces noticeably denser vapour than the 1.2Ω option. The stainless steel construction also opens up temperature control mode compatibility on mods that support TC vaping — giving experienced users an extra level of performance customisation if their device allows it.

The 0.6Ω is best suited to high-VG e-liquids of 60% VG or above — the sub-ohm resistance and higher wattage require a thicker e-liquid for consistent coil saturation and to prevent dry hits. It's not the ideal choice for 20mg nicotine salts — the increased vapour production at 18–23W makes high-strength nic salts uncomfortably harsh at this resistance. Instead, pair it with 3mg–6mg freebase e-liquids or shortfills of 60VG or above for the best possible performance. Works brilliantly with 50/50 e-liquids at lower nicotine strengths too if you prefer not to use high-VG formulas.

1.2Ω Kanthal Coil — 8W–12W

The 1.2Ω is the MTL specialist of the PockeX coil range — a tight, cool, cigarette-style mouth-to-lung coil made from Kanthal wire that performs at a low, comfortable 8–12W and delivers everything a vaper switching from cigarettes could want from a compact AIO device. The draw is noticeably more restricted than the 0.6Ω — cool, smooth, and satisfying with a throat hit that feels genuinely natural to former smokers — and the lower wattage means it works perfectly with thinner 50/50 e-liquids and nicotine salt formulas at 10mg or 20mg strength. The cooler draw at this resistance also means the 1.2Ω is significantly more comfortable to vape for extended periods at 20mg nic salt strength — the throat hit is present and satisfying without ever tipping into harshness.

How to Install and Prime Your PockeX Coil

Installing a fresh PockeX coil is a unique process compared to most other Aspire tanks — the coil is housed in the top section of the device rather than the base. To swap a coil, unscrew the top cap of the PockeX device and lift it clear — the old coil will be attached to the underside of this top section. Unscrew the old coil from the top cap anticlockwise and set it aside. Apply three to five drops of e-liquid directly onto the cotton wicking visible inside the fresh coil to prime it, then screw the new coil firmly into the top cap clockwise — without over-tightening. Reattach the top section to the device, fill the tank with e-liquid via the side fill port, and wait for a minimum of five to ten minutes before vaping to allow the cotton to fully saturate. Skipping or shortening this priming time is the most common cause of the burnt taste that can occur on a freshly installed coil — patience at this stage makes a significant difference to the flavour and lifespan of every coil.

When to Change Your PockeX Coil

With proper priming and care, PockeX coils typically last between one and four weeks depending on vaping frequency, chosen wattage, and e-liquid type. Sweeter e-liquids and higher wattages will naturally shorten coil life, while cleaner profiles and moderate wattages will extend it. The clearest sign a coil needs replacing is a change in flavour — a muted, flat, or burnt character is your most reliable indicator. Reduced vapour production or a gurgling sound during a draw are secondary signs. When any of these appear, swap in a fresh coil from your pack of five and you'll be immediately back to the full U-Tech flavour experience. Keeping the tank topped up and never vaping on a near-empty tank will also extend coil life significantly — a dry coil is the quickest way to shorten coil lifespan and introduce a burnt taste.

E-Liquid Compatibility

0.6Ω coil — High-VG e-liquids of 60% VG or above for best wicking and vapour production. Works with 50/50 at lower nicotine strengths. Not recommended with 20mg nicotine salts due to the increased vapour production at 18–23W. Ideal pairing: 100ml 70VG/30PG shortfills at 3mg from the QSS Vape shortfill range.

1.2Ω coil — 50/50 VG/PG freebase e-liquids and nicotine salt e-liquids at 10mg or 20mg strength. All 10ml nicotine salt e-liquids available at QSS Vape work perfectly with the 1.2Ω PockeX coil — including the Elux Salt, Crystal Salt, Just Juice Bar, Pixl, OXVA OX Passion, and Riot X nic salt ranges. High-VG e-liquids of 70VG and above are not recommended with the 1.2Ω — the thicker consistency will not wick efficiently at this resistance and will cause dry hits.

The majority of deliveries require a signature to confirm receipt. If a signature cannot be obtained, the carrier may ask a neighbour to sign for the delivery. Deliveries that require a signature will not be left if a signature cannot be obtained.

If the carrier leaves the delivery with a neighbour or at your local post office, they will leave a card for you telling you where it is. You may, when placing your order online, specify a different delivery address than your payment address if this is more convenient for you.
